The truth is …we’ve been misled by the so-called WOW experts! You see, 99% of the ‘professional” gamers are DEAD WRONG! What they don’t tell you is that if you don’t follow a proven strategy you will be left for dead like a using a weapon based solely on DPS as your main criteria or trying to solo a group quest. The reason is that you can play for just a couple of hours a day and still produce the results you want. But everybody knows that you HAVE to have lots of gold to make this game work, right? The real trick to making barrels of gold is to learn how to do so effectively. |
Exciting Changes in the WoW Expansion, Cataclysm
World of Warcraft went through three phases before the announcement of the newest WoW Expansion, Cataclysm. The first was the original game, otherwise known as Vanilla WoW. The second came with the release of the first major expansion, The Burning Crusade.
The third was started with the release of another expansion, The Wrath of the Lich King. Blizzard are planning to mix things up again with the release of their third expansion, Cataclysm. Here is a rundown of the new features.
New Races in WoW: Cataclysm
The new World of Warcraft expansion will bring two new races to the game. This means that players fighting for the Alliance will be able to choose Worgen as a race, and Horde fighters will be able to choose Goblins. These two new races will have their own starting zones. New races seem to compliment one of the other features of Blizzard’s next expansion, Cataclysm, quite well.

In the wildly popular online game World of Warcraft, Taurens were one of the original races of the Horde faction. The Taurens, led by Chief Cairne Bloodhoof, were dedicated to worshiping the forces of the earth and its creatures. Taurens are the only Horde race that can be druids, and much of their class-specific quest lines revolve around the spirits of animals and reverence for the land. They worship the Earth Mother, and live an existence that mirrors those of Native Americans.
However, the announcement of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion: Cataclysm at Blizzcon in August 2009 included the ability of Tauren to choose the Paladin class. How does the Paladin class, which focuses on the power of the “Light” fit into the lore of the Tauren race?
Currently, only Blood Elves in the Horde faction and Humans, Dwarves, and Draenei of the Alliance faction can choose the Paladin class.

Dwarf characters will be able to choose the shaman class in the upcoming World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion
The Dwarven race is one of the original Alliance factions in the massively popular online game World of Warcraft. In the recent announcements of the next game expansion, Cataclysm, players who choose the Dwarf race for their character will be able to select the shaman class. How is the addition of shamanism to the Dwarven race justified based on the lore of Dwarven culture in the Warcraft universe?
Emergence of the Shaman Class in the Dwarven Race
In the original release of World of Warcraft, the shaman class was limited to races within the Horde faction. With the release of the Burning Crusade expansion in 2006, the Draenei race, added to the Alliance faction, allowed Alliance players to experience playing a shaman.

Shamans are one of the most versatile classes in the game, capable of filling the role of healer, tank, dps and some limited crowd control capabilities.
World of Warcraft shamans are in many ways the inverse of the paladin. While paladins are defensive in nature, shamans are offensive. Before the Burning Crusade, only Horde characters could choose be shamans. After its release, Alliance players who wish to be shamans can play a dranei shaman.
Shamans lend themselves to a variety of play styles, a shaman can be tank, caster, or healer and may be called upon to do any of the three, but at higher levels the shaman is called upon to be a tank less often. A good place to go to get advice on how to play a shaman are on the official World of Warcraft forums maintained by Blizzard.
1. Know what your Totems Do
The key to playing a successful shaman of any specialization is understanding what each totem does. Some totems such as the tremor totem are only applicable in certain cases, while others like the mana stream totem, healing totem, or grace of air have more general applications. Certain totems may not see much use depending on the shaman’s specialization, but may be called upon from time to time. Setting up a hokey bar with the lesser used totems is the easiest solution, while the other hot key bars may be adapted to specific situations.
